I remember this old hymn from my Southern Baptist childhood. It was not until many, many years later that I learned that you can actually ask the Lord Jesus to hold your hand.. and He will! I ask Him to hold my hand and keep from temptation. I ask Him to hold my hand and protect me from harm. I ask Him to hold my hand and guide me in the way that I should go. I ask Him to hold my hand and inspire me. I ask Him to hold my hand and get me in the right place at the right time. I ask Him to hold my hand and lead me to a person that needs an encounter with Him and then I ask Him to place His hand on mouth and let me speak the words that He wants me to say! I am constantly amazed how He makes appointments for me that I don’t have on my calendar. I don’t mind because they are divine appointments!

Friend, life holding the Kings hand is the most exciting series of powerful adventures imaginable! I am intensifying my appeal to Christ, “Jesus! Hold my hand! Jesus! Hold my hand! O let me be Your hands extended!”

Let me encourage you to simply and sincerely ask the Lord to hold your hand, every hour of every day! When the Lord Jesus holds your hand, every situation will doubtlessly be HANDled by Him! AMEN!
