THE ADVENTURE OF PRAYER
—Hanny Naibaho, photographer
The Church has not yet touched the fringe of the possibilities of intercessory prayer. Her largest victories will be witnessed when individual Christians everywhere come to recognize their priesthood unto God and day by day give themselves unto prayer. --John R. Mott
Luke 9: 29 And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment [was] white [and] glistering.
Notice that Jesus’ countenance was altered while He was praying! Even His clothes were glowing with brilliance! Prayer alters us and positions us for the greatest encounters with God, the greatest breakthroughs, the greatest healings, the greatest miracles, the greatest provisions. Some have a prayer life in order to survive, while others live a life of prayer and by it thrive!
My life of prayer began on Saturday, February 22, 1980, with these 4 words: “JESUS, PLEASE HELP ME!” Seven miserable years of drug and alcohol addiction were broken! From that moment to this, I have been eyewitness to His wonder working power again and again! Incredible adventures await all those who will call on God from a place of humility, desperation and persistence!
A great adventure awaits you in the place of prayer! Are you ready to be altered for His glory?
Every blessing!
