Jer 32:27 "Behold, I [am] the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?

A young boy traveling by airplane to visit his grandparents sat beside a man who happened to be a seminary professor. The boy was reading a Sunday school take-home paper, and the professor thought he would have some fun with the lad. “Young man,” said the professor, “if you can tell me something God can do, I will give you a big, shiny apple.” The boy thought for a moment and then replied, “Mister, if you can tell me something God can’t do, I’ll give you a whole barrel of apples!”

Let me start off by saying, “YES!, there is something that God can’t do! HE CAN’T LIE!“ Isn’t that wonderful? There is Someone in the Universe that will never lie to you! This same Someone is all powerful and there is nothing but lying, that He cannot do! His Word is full of promises that He is longing to grant to the believing one! I lost count many years ago of the impossible things that I have seen Him do! You could never talk me out of believing in this immortal and invisible, almighty God! He has just done far too many miraculous things before my eyes!

Here is just one of those things that comes to mind right now: Some years ago, I had led our church into waters that were over our head! Very deep and dark waters financially. The situation was completely impossible. We were at the brink of total collapse. I fell to my knees one afternoon, and cried out to the Lord. “Father, if I had the money, You know I would pay these bills! You know I would!” I continued to list all the things that I could not do and began to weep! He cut me off with this question, “Can you believe?” I raised my head above the back of the couch where I was kneeling and on the windowsill, there was the word “BELIEVE” carved out of wood. I said, “YES!” to the Lord and wept some more!

I came in late for the Wednesday evening service because I had been to a funeral. My wife was standing in the back of the sanctuary and told me that she had some news for me after the service and I asked her if it was bad and she just said, “No, it’s not bad.” Immediately following the Bible Study I asked her what the news was. She told me that someone had anonymously given $15,000 that afternoon! I began to chant, “I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe…..!!!”

Beloved, there is a God that has no limit in His power! He would love to remind you of that by doing something impossible on your behalf and for His glory! Let me repeat His question, “Can you believe?”

Every blessing!
