COMING INTO ALIGNMENT WITH YOUR ASSIGNMENT
DEDICATED TO THE 2021 GRADUATING CLASS OF
TRI-COUNTY CHRISTIAN SCHOOL, SPRUCE PINE, NC
2Tim 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. 21 Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.
“Christ lives in us to manifest His life through us. Christ in us accomplishes His own purposes. Part of His purpose is intimacy with us, but His plan encompasses more than that. He is working toward His own ends, and we are the vessels through which He works. We are the visible manifestation of what God is doing, with Himself as the ultimate goal, “that God may be all in all” (I Corinthians 15:28).”
My question is this, in response to that which you have previously read: “What would you like God to make out of you, an honorable vessel or dishonorable?” This should be easy for us to answer in the light of the judgment seat of Christ that awaits us on that day we stand before Him! None of us were created to live for our own purposes and ambitions. No! We were created to bring glory and pleasure to God! (Rev. 4:11)
When we were conceived in our mother’s womb, God fearfully and wonderfully made us with a specific purpose, an assignment for life, if you will. The way we discover that assignment is found in Rom. 12:1-2 which tells us that by presenting ourselves to God as a living sacrifice, we will discover His will or our assignment that is designed to bring glory to God. Living for that Kingdom assignment brings glory to God and a life of wonderful satisfaction and fulfillment for us!
Let me leave you with this example: We humans were not designed to fly and we have not been assigned to fly, therefore it is not good to sky dive without a parachute! Agreed? As we come into alignment with our God given assignment, we will lives full of purpose and meaning and bring much eternal glory to our worthy King Jesus! God give us hearts that will be aligned with what we have been assigned, in Jesus name! AMEN!
Every blessing!
