FLAMING HEART OR COLD FEET
“Father, grant me a fire in my heart that will thaw out my cold feet!”
Luk 24:32 And they said to one another, "Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?"
Typically for me, its coffee in the morning and tea in the afternoon. Countless times I have waited to hear the teapot whistle. I love that sound! It means its time to brew my tea! The pot of water has to sit on that red hot stove eye until the water boils. When the water begins to boil the pot begins to whistle. The intense heat causes the teapot to sing. It has no choice.
It is the very same with us as followers of Christ. We must dialog with Him and meditate on His word until a fire buns in our heart and we cannot help but sound off to those around the good news of Jesus Christ. It is not complicated, not at all! Talk with Jesus about people until the His fire causes us to talk with people about Jesus! I have found this is a cure for my cold feet! How will they hear unless we go and tell them of His love?
