POUNDING PASSIVITY
“The Violence of Revival can easily be replaced by the passivity and the numbness of religion when you lose or have no fear of the Lord! ”
Mat 11:12 "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.
A POUNDING can be defined as a resounding defeat. PASSIVITY can be defined as an acceptance of what happens, without active response or resistance.
2Ki 13:18 Then he said, "Take the arrows," and he took [them.] And he said to the king of Israel, "Strike the ground," and he struck [it] three times and stopped. 19 Then the man of God became angry at him and said, "You should have struck five or six times, then you would have struck Aram until you put an end [to it.] But now you shall strike Aram [only] three times."
The prophet Elisha became livid with King Joash because of his passivity, which was displayed in his limp-wristed striking of the ground! The man of God wanted passion and the King gave him passivity! One of the great enemies of revival is passionless Christianity, which plays along without ever really engaging in heart rending intercession for Revival! Our nation and the nations of the world are perishing for the lack of Revival! Let’s actually get real about our beloved nation. America is on the verge of crashing and burning. The United States of America is like a plane whose systems are failing and is now in a tailspin to utter destruction!
Brother, Sister, how can we sit idly by and sigh, “Well, what are you going to do?” It is a hopeless situation! We are too far gone, we’ve crossed the point of no return… says the Devil! Joash made the mistake of making a passive response in the time of war! Do you know that these days we are living in are war times? These times demand that we are all in, with all our hearts, with all of our might, with all of our strength, with all of our passion! Myriads of precious souls are hanging over the very precipice of Hell! We must cry to God until we are ignited with His passion for souls, and we are ablaze with Holy Ghost fire in our hearts. Until the Church of America again erupts into the next and greatest awakening in the history of mankind! Pound any and all passivity until you burst into flames for the glory of Jesus Christ, and for His suffering sake! AMEN!
