ACCESSING THE INACCESIBLE
A man inherited an antique desk. One day by accident he touched a secret spring. A hitherto unopened drawer opened. In it lay a great sum on money! The antique desk was valuable, but the treasure it contained was more valuable!
God's word is priceless and precious. Unknown spiritual riches await those who will search therein for them. "More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweater also than honey and the honeycomb" (Psalm 19:10). -- Pulpit Helps
Jer. 33:3 'Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'
This is a tremendous word given to a people who had known years of captivity and lack. The Lord had used this captivity to turn the hearts of His people back to Him. Now the time of breakthrough had come for Israel. All that was needed was for them to call out to the Lord. The word "call" here means to cry with a loud voice. A good New Testament illustration of this is Blind Bartimaeus.
Mark 10:46 Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging. 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" 48 Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"
Bartimaeus received his sight because of his faith in Jesus the Son of God! He cried out in faith and he was not denied his request!
God promises when you cry out in faith with all your heart, you will get an answer! The word "show" means to manifest or reveal. The thing that God will reveal is "great" meaning greatest and "mighty" meaning inaccessible! The promise is that God will make manifest awesome and hidden things that only He has access to!
The Lord has awesome hidden things for His children. Those things are ours for the asking!
Whatever you need, cry out to the Lord in faith and you will receive it!
Mark 10:51 So Jesus answered and said to him, "What do you want Me to do for you?" The blind man said to Him, "Rabboni, that I may receive my sight." 52 Then Jesus said to him, "Go your way; your faith has made you well." And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.
What do you want Jesus to do for you?
Every blessing!
