WHAT WE LEAVE BEHIND

Heb 11:5 By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, "and was not found, because God had taken him"; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [Him], for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and [that] He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

By faith Enoch was taken away (see Genesis 5:24) Enoch’s walking with the Lord in this world, turned into flying with God out of this world! Enoch’s faith was his first class ticket to Heaven. It wasn’t a private Jet, it was private rapture!

He did not see death. To the contrary, he saw life! He had this testimony. The word testimony is the Greek word: Martyreo, meaning witness or to bear record! His life on Earth, bore record or gave compelling evidence of the invisible God. His life made God visible!

6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [Him]. Without faith, you will not follow Jesus. Without faith you can’t see where Jesus is going! For we walk by faith and not by sight! (2Cor. 5:7) Without faith, it is impossible to flow with Jesus. As Jesus only did what He SAW His Father doing, (see Jn. 5:19) so without faith we are unable to do the greater works that we have been called to do! (Jn. 14:12)

For he who comes to God must believe that He is: What is the proof that we believe that He is? We must believe that He is not just a promise maker, but He is also the promise keeper! It is by faith, that we lay hold of the promises of God! (see Heb. 11:33)

And [that] He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. We must also believe that God will always reward us with seeing Him do the impossible things that demonstrate His reality to an unbelieving world! We pray, “Father increase our faith to bear record of the living God, in this dying world! Let this be the legacy we leave, until we like Enoch, are out of this world and in Heaven forever with You! In Jesus name for His sake! Amen!
