ANONYMOUS?

“An elderly woman walked into a church. The friendly usher greeted her at the door and helped her up the flight of steps, “Where would you like to sit?” he asked politely.
“The front row please,” she answered.
“You really don’t want to do that,” the usher said “the pastor is really boring.”
“Do you happen to know who I am?” the woman inquired.
“No.” he said.
“I’m the pastor’s mother,” she replied indignantly.
“Do you know who I am?” he asked.
“No.” she said.
“Good,” he answered.”

If you are going to follow Jesus, you cannot remain anonymous about it. True Christianity is a faith that is way out of the closet! Jesus said that when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will be witnesses unto Him. (Acts 1:8) Paul said, “I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God unto Salvation to all that believe.” (Romans 1:16) The world doesn’t need secret agent Christians! No! The world needs to hear the message from your lips and mine and see it lived out in your life and mine! In this hour, we need enough Holy Ghost boldness to come out from behind our stained glass windows. We have a story that must be told to the nations, from where we live, to the ends of Earth!
Father, we are not ashamed of the Gospel but we do need you to grant us boldness to proclaim Your life giving words to a world that is without hope and without God! In the words of a song from an old friend of mine, “How will they hear without me, how will they know unless I tell them, how will they hear without me, how will they know unless I tell them? How can I face Jesus, unless I go and tell them of His love? (Anonymous) LOL
Will you join me in saying this to Jesus? “Here am I Lord, send me!” Prepare to be thrust into the Harvest!
