2Cor 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.
Hey Christian, yes you! You sure have a lot going on in your clay pot, your earthen vessel, your jar of clay! You may say, “It doesn’t feel like there is that much going on in there, inside of me!” Well, wait just a minute! If you are a born again, child of God, His Holy Spirit is in you! Think of it, the one who executed the commands of Jesus Christ, the Word of God! For example, just the command, “Let there be light!” and there was light! Oh Heavens! What light there was! The Holy Spirit created our Sun and 2 Trillion galaxies chocked full of immeasurable quantities of stars! He is the very same Holy Spirit that lives inside of you!
We have missed out on far too much of the power to demonstrate that Jesus is alive in us! The world will never see the real Jesus in us, if Jesus is not the reality we live for! It is simple and it can be painful: we go the way of the world or we go the way of the Cross! There are no two ways about this life! To go the way of the Cross releases the excellency of the power of the Holy Spirit, who will make Jesus entirely obvious! May the Lord help you and I to live out the treasure, the power within us, even when it hurts, to the Glory of God!
