JESUS bore the lashes of my curse. He wore the thorns of my crown. He suffered unspeakably on my cross. He is risen to be my cure!

THE CURSE

Gal. 3:13(a) Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us...NKJV

Jesus was sentenced to death on a cross. Stage 1 of the cruel execution was to undergo the Roman scourging. Two soldiers with whips. The many thongs held led balls soften the skin. Bone fragments, jagged metal and or glass, to tear away the flesh and inflict the maximum pain. The Jews only allowed 39 lashes. The Romans were not limited. They would beat the condemned person until they were exhausted! Jesus underwent the wrath of God for your sin and mine! It pleased the Lord to bruise Him. (Isa. 53:10)

THE CROWN

John 19:2 And the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put [it] on His head, and they put on Him a purple robe. NKJV

Isaiah 53:5 (c) The chastisement for our peace was upon Him NKJV

You can possess all the wealth of this world, but if you don’t have peace in your mind, it is worthless. The kind of peace we need, only Jesus can give! Not only did He endure this the horrific scourge on His body for our physical healing, (Isa. 53:5) He wore the cruel crown of thorns viciously forced upon His head that we could have peace in our hearts and minds!

THE CROSS

Col 2:13 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. NKJV

Jesus demolished the power and penalty of sin in the lives of all who put their trust in His sacrifice on mankind’s behalf! Jesus wiped out the death sentence, both physical and eternal, through His excruciating death on the cross! The reason we call that Friday, “GOOD” is because it is the gift of everlasting life, for all who will receive it!

I shall forever lift my eyes to Calvary, To view the cross where Jesus died for me
How marvelous the grace that caught my falling soul, He looked beyond my fault and saw my need. —Booth Brothers

THE CURE

Rom 4:24 but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, 25 who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification. NKJV (Justification is the act of God declaring men free from guilt and acceptable to him)

The cure is this: resurrection justification! The glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ is our cure! Not just forgiven, but justified, welcomed, deeply loved, accepted in the Beloved, the much loved, just like the Father loves Jesus, He so loves us as well! Sin, like the stone over Jesus tomb, was the blockade that kept us from His abundant life. Like that stone that was rolled away, the resurrection has blown it away and given us acceptance with God! Every promise in the book was made good on that resurrection morning! The offer of healing, peace, victory over sin and right standing with God, is all wrapped in the resurrection of Jesus!

Rom 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. NKJV

HALLELUJAH AND PRAISE HIM FOREVER! BECAUSE HE LIVES WE LIVE ALSO!

Every blessing!
