I AM HERE - 4 OF 7
““This is the FOURTH of a seven part devotional series entitled: I AM HERE. The title is an acrostic. Today the letter “H” HEALING PRESENCE. In these incredibly tumultuous times in which we are living, it is good to remind ourselves of these timely and timeless words of our Lord Jesus, Matt 28:20 ..and lo, I AM with you always, [even] to the end of the age. Amen.” It is my earnest and heartfelt prayer that this little series will comfort, strengthen and encourage every reader!””
Luke 5:17 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was [present] to heal them.
Over the past 4 decades, I have been eye witness to many miraculous healings. No matter what men may say, even scholars, the truth cannot be denied: Jesus is still not only saving souls, He is still healing sick bodies! A common thread that I have noticed is that most of those healings that have occurred, the atmosphere was charged with the thick presence of the Lord. That presence was always invoked by sincere praise and deep worship. Jesus truly does inhabit or dwell in the praise of His people. (Ps. 22:3)
I have found in my own life, that worshiping the Lord “anyhow”, has been associated with breakthrough. Not only healing breakthrough but breakthroughs of many kinds. We don’t worship to gain some blessing from Him, we simply worship Him because He is worthy regardless of our circumstances! I well remember in the very early years of my ministry as pastor, I awakened on a Sunday morning, sick as the proverbial dog. I felt miserable. I made my way to church and sat in the floor of my office. I was complaining that I felt so bad and it was too late to call on anyone to fill the pulpit. I could not imagine preaching as nauseous as I was. The Lord spoke to heart, “I will inhabit your praise!” I did not feel like doing that but I did anyway. Within just moments the sickness left me completely! As I remember, I preached my heart out that morning!
Wonderful blessings are showered on those that walk in worship of the great King “anyhow!” He is worthy still in the worst of times and He cherishes the praises that keep coming forth even out of pain, sorrow and affliction! We need to make sure our lips are creating something He will inhabit! Where His presence is, anything wonderful can and will happen!
Every blessing!
