Jude 1:17 But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: 18 how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. 19 These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit. 20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

Jude 1:21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Well friends, are we there yet? I mean, is there indication that these days are the last time(s)? The evidence is overwhelming! Just this one feature gives it away: Mockers: to scoff or to make jokes or to make light of. Three primary targets of this last day mocking and scoffing are God, the Bible and Christians! Do you see it?

Two classes of people are mentioned in our text: Sensual people and people in the Spirit. Sensual people today might be referred to as liberal. Spiritual people might be referred to as conservative. To be sure not all conservative people are spiritual people. Can you see how sensual people have infiltrated the Church and caused major divides by pushing their agendas?

We Christians must understand our need to pursue the fullness of God’s Spirit in our lives. We must walk so closely to the Lord in these last days, that we allow the Holy Spirit to pray for us and through us for others! (Rom. 8:26) In our text, Jude is speaking of a future time, when things will grow so dark and demonic that without the help of the Holy Spirit we will struggle to have faith to believe God’s love for us! With God’s Spirit having constant access to pray through us, for us and for those around us, our hearts and minds will stay focused on loving God, loving people and being confident in His love for us! We are in the last time and now is the time to ask that the Holy Spirit would continuously pray through us! He will! Looking for His mercy, come what may, we are going to make it through it all! HALLELUJAH!

Every blessing!
