God’s grasp cannot be broken. None can pluck his chosen out of his hand.
— William S. Plumer

Deut 33:27 The eternal God [is your] refuge, And underneath [are] the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, And will say, 'Destroy!'

Psalm 127:2 [It is] vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; [For] so He gives His beloved sleep.

I remember 20 or more years ago, lying awake gripped the fears of what if! Thinking of end time stuff kept me awake. What will happen to our parents, what will happen to our children, what will happen to my wife, open to our family, what will happen to the people we love? I was on a steady diet of the book of Revelation that was not a balanced diet with the entirety of the Word, the “comfort of the Scriptures” (Rom. 15:4). Today, it is really looking like the Church is headed full speed into the book of Revelation! However, I loose no sleep over the ”what if’s” anymore, glory to God! No, I loose sleep over excitement of the what is and what is to come!

I have found the secret of resting in the Lord’s faithfulness knowing His watchful eye upon me and mine! I have learned to trust Him and therefore I have precious rest, perpetual joy and perfect peace! I simply take Him at His word and rest on His unfailing promises. If He ever fails me, it will be the first time! He has had plenty of opportunities to let me have what I deserved. O friend, His mercies have always overruled! He looks beyond our faults and sees our needs and ministers to us according to the vast abundance of His everlasting kindness! Just rest in His everlasting arms! The promise is true, His arms are what lies beneath you! It’s all going to be OK, He’s got you! Sleep well tonight, His beloved!

Every blessing!
