TWO ARE BETTER THAN ONE

Eccl 4:9 Two [are] better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor.

Some years ago I ran across a story, that was told of a man that had two prize winning oxen. The larger could pull 17,000 pounds of dead weight. The smaller could pull 14,000 pounds of dead weight. The smaller could out pull any other competitor, except the larger one. One day the man thought of the words of Ecclesiastes 4:9. He assumed if he yolked the two together, they could pull 31,000 pounds of dead weight. He hitched the two together and was amazed to discover the two pulled 57,000 pounds of dead weight!

I know that there is plenty of biblical evidence of two being better. Deut 32:30 (a) How could one chase a thousand, And two put ten thousand to flight.. boy don’t you love God’s math?! Matt 18:19 Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. Jesus is saying if only two of you shall agree on something, whatever you ask will be done!

Let me just encourage you, if you don’t have a prayer partner, go find one and begin to pray in agreement together, frequently! Heaven will hear and respond with great and mighty things you don’t yet know!
