THE WILL OF THE FATHER

Most people do not want to know the will of God in order to do it. They want to know it in order to consider it.

Matt 7:21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

This quote from Jesus most assuredly must be taken seriously. Not that we can take anything He said lightly. The Scripture says, “Be not unwise but understand what the will of the Lord is.” (Eph. 5:17) First and foremost God’s will for us is that we turn from sin to Him, and put all of our faith in the blood of His Son! (Acts 20:21) That is the foundational will of God, our starting point and we never outgrow the need to continue walking in repentance. Day after day, turning away from sin, turning toward Him and putting all of our trust in our risen Lord Jesus Christ! O, how we can trust Him in all things at all times!

Friend, will you join me today in a simple cry to Abba Father? (Gal. 4:6) “Lo, I come to do Your will today O, God! (Heb. 10:7) Be glorified in me!” In Jesus name and for His sake! AMEN!

Every blessing!
