WHEN LIFE GETS HEAVY

In all honesty, I cannot say that ‘things just kept piling up’. If the truth were told, things just don’t pile up — I just pile up things.

1PeT 5:7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

“I DON’T CARE!” I’m not saying I don’t care about someone’s terrible situation. I’m saying, “I don’t care about my burdens, because I have put them off on Jesus! The word “casting” here means to throw off, to hurl, to thrust away, literally to give up! The word “care” means distracting stress or anxiety. In other words, give up the things, hurl the things upon Jesus, that cause you to get your eyes off Him. We are exhorted, Heb 12:2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of [our] faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising (or disregarding) the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Jesus has carried all your care when He carried that cruel and heavy cross on your behalf! He paid it all so, why on earth should you and I try to shoulder any of these cares? Jesus Himself, got His eyes off the cost of His cross by looking to His Father’s purpose and seeing the glory of securing our eternal salvation in order to spend forever with you and I! O friend, He loves you and I so much! Right now, just cast it all on Him and say, “Now, I am free and I just don’t care anymore because have cast all of my cares on Him because He cares for me!!” HALLELUJAH!

Every blessing!
