God can do wonders with a broken heart if you give him all the pieces.

Isa 61:1 "The Spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to [those who are] bound;

Hos 13:9 O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself; but in me [is] thine help.

Certainly Jesus is anointed to bind up those that are broken hearted by circumstances like the death of a loved one or those who are broken hearted by wounding from others. What I need to address today is directed to those of us who have destroyed ourselves or fragmented our hearts by our own doing. In the seven years that I ran from the Lord, far into the country of my shameful sin, I gave pieces of my heart to this sin, and to that abomination. Upon my return to Christ while seeking Him through His word, I read that He wants us all to love Him with our whole hearts. I realized that my heart had been so fragmented and distributed to other lovers, or gods.

How thankful I am that He came to bind up the heart that I had broken and He has helped me these last forty-one years, in order for me to give Him back my whole heart! He has truly and patiently set this captive free from the prison of my own creation! Like a vase dropped and shattered, I have swept up the pieces, and even days later, have found more shards and had to sweep those up too. He will seamlessly put back together all the pieces of our fragmented heart, and restore us to wholeheartedness. Bring Him all your broken pieces and be made whole. Then as a prisoner set free, you can contain the precious treasures of the great grace of God and worship Him in spirit and truth! That is what He is longing for! HALLELUJAH!

Every blessing!
