SOWING IN FAITH

SOWING IN FAITH.png
Faith…needs to be matched with action. Belief is not just brain cells in motion. It demands a response. Do we do what we believe? If we believe in a seed, we plant it.

Luke 8:5 "A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it. 6 "Some fell on rock; and as soon as it sprang up, it withered away because it lacked moisture. 7 "And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up with it and choked it. 8 "But others fell on good ground, sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundredfold." When He had said these things He cried, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear!"

Christians, like Jesus in this text, are sowers of seed. We are all called to sow the Gospel seed. The thing we must acknowledge is that if we do not sow the seed, there will be no chance of a harvest. In this text, there is no examination of the types of ground. The sower just sowed the seed “wherever it fell.” The condition of people’s hearts are not our responsibility. We must not waste time looking for the what appears to our eyes, to be the choicest of fields. Our job is to simply sow the seed of the Gospel. The seed will send out its roots toward the heart. The heart will decide whether or not it will receive it. Just sow the seed in faith and water it with heartfelt tears, then leave the harvest to The Lord of the Harvest! It is time to plant like never before! Happy going and sowing!

Every blessing!
