ALIGNMENT WITH GOD
“Hannah wanted a son, God wanted a prophet, two dreams collided.”
1John 5:14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
I once sat with a man and we discussed a farfetched concept. I mentioned to him that as much as we might want our idea to work, we could not expect the Lord to bless it, if it was not according to His will and he agreed with me.
I have done things “for God” in my own strength over the years, though well intended, small disasters at best! I have learned that God’s will is imperative! I want no more good ideas. I want God ideas! There is nothing as great as the will of God! Nothing as worth the wait as the will of God!
According to Romans 12:1 & 2, by presenting ourselves to God as a living sacrifice and being transformed by the renewing of our minds, we prove what is that good, acceptable and perfect will of God! God’s will is good and perfect and that is what makes it acceptable to Him! There is perhaps, no greater tragedy than a life lived out of alignment with the will of God! It is when we get in alignment with God’s will, that His miracle working power begins to flow! May our cry always be, “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on Earth, as it is in Heaven! HALLELUJAH!
