ANYWHERE, AS LONG AS IT IS FORWARD
“Perhaps you face something that is tempting you to take a more leisurely path through life, when an invitation to get up and climb is staring you in the face. The battle will be in the mind, even though it will likely manifest in the flesh. Your temptation to resign is, in fact, your invitation to write history.”
LukE 10:27 So he answered and said, "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,' and 'your neighbor as yourself.' "
There are days when it takes all of my strength convince my mind to go on. My mind often disagrees with the direction that my heart and soul are called! Some days, it is as if every inch forward is exhausting. It would be so easy just to curl up in a ball and roll all the way back down to the bottom of the hill! There is this constant resistance from the enemy whispering, “Nothing you are doing makes any difference anyway. Why put yourself through the struggle. What you do, does not matter to God or anyone else!” But when I still my soul, I can hear His call above the roar of my enemy! Jesus reminds me that, “That He who calls me, is faithful and He will do it.” (1Thes. 5:24)
Friend, let me remind you and encourage you today, that your calling from the Lord matters greatly! Take hold of your mind and put one foot forward at a time. You will by God’s grace, press through the resistance and run again. Yet for now, be at peace with anywhere, as long as it is forward!
Every blessing!
