A NOTE TO THE THIRSTY
“Because of our proneness to look at the bucket and forget the fountain, God has to frequently change His means of supply to keep our eyes fixed on the source.”
Jhn 7:37 On the last day, that great [day] of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.
Jesus is a river of love, a fountain of life, a wellspring of joy, an ocean of peace and showers of all blessings! He is truly the source of everything good! He is the unspeakable gift and the matchless forever Friend! Sadly, it seems that so few of this world, really know Him. Jesus bids the whole world to come to Him! He cries out to anyone listening, “Come to Me and drink! I AM the fountain of life!” When you discover Him, you will cease your relentless search to quench your thirst!
Beloved, I have found that Jesus is truly the only one, the only source that can satisfy a thirsting soul! He told the Samaritan woman at the well, if she would drink the water that He would give her, she would never be thirsty again. (John 4:14) The reason being, Jesus was not offering a mere cup of His water for a one time drink. Rather, a never-ending fountain of eternal life. (Rev. 21:6) He is the fountain to continually quench our thirst and flood our being with His endless and abundant life! Stay thirsty (for Him) my friends and go to Him and drink all your heart’s desire! He is all a heart can desire! HALLELUJAH!!
