THE PROVIDENCE OF GOD
“When you are with Jesus, you are always at the right place at the right time.”
Mat 17:27 "Nevertheless, lest we offend them, go to the sea, cast in a hook, and take the fish that comes up first. And when you have opened its mouth, you will find a piece of money; take that and give it to them for Me and you."
Talk about being in the right place at the right time! Jesus instructed Peter to go and cast a hook into the sea. He did and boom, the very first fish had the tax money in its mouth! I have lived for many years in amazement of the Lords providence. I have lost count of the times He has put me in the right place at the right time! Every time that I ask Him, “Father, how do You do that?” All I ever hear Him say is, “I am God.” I really don’t need more explanation.
I will give you a personal example in short form. When my 31 year old son was just a few months old, God spoke to me one Saturday morning as I was praying, “Take your kids to the Zoo today!” I told the Lord that was not in the budget but He insisted. I said, “OK, we will go to the Cincinnati Zoo.” He then told me to go to the Indianapolis Zoo. So off we went. I was very nervous about it because we really could not afford it. While standing in a long ticket line, a woman that was many persons ahead of us shouted, “Sir! Would you like some tickets?” I was floored! I went running up to her and she handed me six tickets and six meal tickets! That day went down in history in our family of six! ( I devoted a chapter to this account in my book, “Refocus, Rekindle, Rejoice”)
PROVIDENCE is what you can fully expect when you walk with Jesus! Oh, what a wonderful walk it is!
