BORN TO BE WILD

God is urging us on: to use our faith, to act on His Word, to trust Him. It might seem frightening, but God knows we can do it. Once we learn how to walk with God by faith, we will embrace the adventure and we’ll never want to go back.

Heb 11:6 (a) But without faith [it is] impossible to please [Him]

As a little boy, I had several dreams of flying, not in an airplane, like a bird. I would jump out of trees and fly, off of buildings and fly, off of cliffs and fly, etc. These were my favorite kind of dreams. Something inside me longed for the wild freedom that birds have. As I grew older, I wanted to be a pilot. However, drugs and alcohol caused my dream to crash and burn, because that way of living stripped my passion for the pursuit.

At the age of 20, I returned to faith and following Jesus Christ. A new dream filled my soul. It was a wild dream that caused me to depend on Jesus and take leaps of faith. I quickly realized that I could actually fly, not like a bird but like a man who could totally depend on the Lord carry me when He called me to jump! I could write a book about it. Oh wait, I did write a book about it! Ha ha! Brother, Sister, you and I were born again to be wild, wild and free. Just as hang glider pilots depend on the wind beneath their wings to hold them aloft, so you and I and can depend on the Holy Spirit to carry us into adventures to the glory of God! If you are born again, there is a wild faith living on the inside of you that longs to fly! We are called to walk by faith and not by sight, so spread your wings, take a leap and enjoy the flight!

Every blessing!
