CENTER STAGE

CENTER STAGE.png
When the drama of history is over, Jesus Christ will stand alone on the stage. All the great figures of history ... will realize that they have been but actors in a drama produced by another.

Col 1:18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

If Christ alone is not the very center of your life, then everything else is off, way off!

Rev 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

You and I and every other living thing that has been or is now or will be in time to come, are created for the purpose and pleasure of God and His Christ alone! It is so heartbreaking that so many will not bow their knee to Christ until they are forced to one day. For every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess that Christ is Lord of all, to the glory of God the Father. (Php 2:10-11)

Years ago, I preached Christ on the street in NYC. I was shouting to the crowds, “You must be born again!” One man lifted his voice in the crowd and shouted at me, “I DO NOT NEED TO BE BORN AGAIN!” Astonished at his brazen rejection of Jesus Christ, I approached him face to face and said, “Sir! You will find out!” He looked at me as though he had seen a ghost and ran away.

I know that I am preaching for the most part to the Choir but I must close with this question from the Hebrew writer: “How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard [Him] (Heb 2:3) Jesus must be center stage in your life. He will not accept just being one of the faces in your crowd.

In Christ alone with every blessing!
