THE LONG AWAITED DESIRE

Pro 13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But [when] the desire comes, [it is] a tree of life.

Heartsickness occurs after constant disappointment. We thought we had an appointment with the promise, but it didn’t come to pass. Out of our disappointment, we became heartsick and stopped setting appointments. We stopped hoping, and consequently, we became critical and cynical; and these never enter through the veil. If we don’t do something at this point, our quest for destiny will end here.

Perhaps you and I have shared this similarity: We have held on and on and on to hope to the point we lost our grip on it. We ran out of strength to continue to believe. The dream is not coming true. There is no way after all this time, it is even remotely possible! Why have we wasted so much time, dreaming, believing. We feel deceived and even a bit betrayed..by the Lord!

Am I talking to anyone? David went through some times like this! This was what he said:

Psa 119:49 ZAYIN. Remember the word to Your servant, Upon which You have caused me to hope.

It seems that David thought that God might have forgotten something He had promised. So He gives God a reminder! You and I must realize that God wants us to believe even when the situation is hopelessly impossible! That is called “Faith”! Believing the promise of God when the fulfillment seems out of the question! I can’t count the times through the years that I have said to the Lord, “But God, You said!”

I remember one time saying, “I am here God, where are you?” You say, “That’s disrespectful!” No! That is called “desperate dependance!” By the way, He immediately responded to that cry! Friend, our hopes get deferred. However, the scripture does not say IF desire comes. No! It says, “WHENIt will come! God will come through! Don’t abandon your hope in Him! The tree of life has your name on it!

Every blessing!
