EVERYDAY REFLECTIONS
PhP 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things [are] noble, whatever things [are] just, whatever things [are] pure, whatever things [are] lovely, whatever things [are] of good report, if [there is] any virtue and if [there is] anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things.
What a wonderful prescription Philippians 4:8 is! Here is why I say this: Pro 23:7 For as he thinks in his heart, so [is] he. So the way a person thinks, is the way the person is. Let me give you just four things for daily reflection. I believe they will give you a much brighter outlook on life!
1.) REJOICING, BECAUSE HE CAME FOR US! Christmas is observed globally one day of the year. You and I should be rejoicing everyday of the year because as the angel said, “I bring you glad tidings of great joy!” That good news is a daily thing! Oh, think of it! Think on it! How very marvelous that Christ the Son of God came to Earth to save us!
2.) CELEBRATING, BECAUSE HE CAME BACK FOR US! Jesus Christ conquered death, Hell and the grave for us! Because He lives and is alive forevermore, we live and are alive forevermore! Every promise in the Book was secured because Jesus conquered the grave! The resurrection secured our justification! (Rom. 4:25) THINK OF THAT, DAILY!!
3.) EXPECTING, BECAUSE HE IS COMING AGAIN FOR US! Beloved, the Lord knows them that are His. (2Th. 2:19) This should thrill your heart most! Jesus is coming back to bring you to Himself and where He is, you will be also, forever! He is coming again and this is our blessed hope in this hopeless world! My oh my, we have so much work to do among those that don’t yet know Him!
4.) THANKSGIVING, BECAUSE HE’S DONE IT ALL FOR US! Thanksgiving should be on our lips daily, for all these things and so many more daily benefits of being a child of God! Thinking on these favorite things and thanking for all these things will keep you from sadness and fill your heart with gladness! I declare that today is a day for rejoicing, celebrating, expecting and thanksgiving! HALLELUJAH!!
Every blessing!
