INTERCESSION BRINGS ABOUT INTERVENTION
Heb 7:25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
I had miserably failed the Lord. While pouring my heart out to God one evening, the Lord spoke to me and told me to go tell my friend, I won’t disclose his name, about what the Lord had done for me. I don’t want you to think that I was ashamed of the testimony of the Lord, but my friend lived over an hour from me. I told the Lord that I would like to do that when I had a chance. He told me a second time. I said, “I will Lord!” Just a few days passed, and I heard the tragic news that my friend had taken his life! I cannot tell you how awful I felt! The devil jumped on my back and agreed with me about what a sorry excuse I was for a Christian! I grieved deeply and wept bitterly! I began to get a heavy burden for my best friend who was lost. I cried out for his salvation constantly. One day, while I was praying, the Lord spoke to my heart and said, “You need to go see your friend!” I did not hesitate! I went to the shop where I knew I would find him working. Sure enough, when I entered the door I saw him painting a car. When he saw me, he stopped and pulled his mask off and with a smile that I had only seen when he was high, he said, “Tom! I got saved!” I jumped on him and hugged him and wept for joy!” It was an incredible story of how Jesus made Himself real to him!
God gave me in my intercession, an opportunity to share with my departed friend the grace that saved me, but I delayed! From that time till this, I have tried to pray and obey! I have learned that I don’t know how to pray the way I need to, but when I present myself to God, the Holy Spirit will pray through me and He knows exactly what to pray!
Friend, I am a witness that intercession will lead to Divine intervention. How many souls do you know that desperately need to turn to Jesus and be saved? They are everywhere! Pick one and cry out to God for their soul! Jesus is ready to move through your faithful intercession!
Every blessing!
Tom
