LOVER OF GOD
1Pe 2:21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:
“God created you for the first and greatest commandment, to be a lover of God.”
The Father’s gift of love to the world was the laid down life of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ! The Son’s gift of love to the Father was giving His life as the ransom for all that would trust in Him!
The reasonable service we render to Father and Son is that we love the Godhead and the way we prove it is by laying down our lives as The Holy Spirit directs, and empowers us! For this, we will be greeted with the eternal reward of “well done, good, and faithful servant, enter into the Joy of your Lord!!”
