THE PAIN OF CHANGE

2Co 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, [even] as by the Spirit of the Lord.

There can be no change until the pain of remaining the same becomes stronger than the pain of change! Everybody is in favor of progress. It’s the change they don’t like.

I believe you might be hard-pressed to find anyone that has been through more changes than me! From 1959 to the present I have lived at 52 addresses. People often have asked me, “Where are you from?” To which I usually reply, “You don’t have time for the answer to that! Let me tell you where I am going!”

Leaving many of those addresses has been painful and some very painful. I can say this though, I don’t regret any of those changes. The reason is that I have made so many lasting friendships and learned so much about life as a result of the changes. More than anything, what I have learned about the goodness and faithfulness of God is priceless! Most importantly, I have learned that the change I need the most is to become more and more like Him! I want to be like Him, so I have to change, like it or not! How about you?

Every blessing!
