WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS NOW!
1Pe 4:8 And above all things have fervent love for one another, for "love will cover a multitude of sins."
“Faults are thick where love is thin. ”
One of the greatest challenges that you and I as followers of Jesus are being faced with, is to love with fervent love! Fervent, meaning in this verse, to stretch and strain without ceasing! The picture is that there is no other option: In a desperation like trying to grab the hand of someone slipping over a chasm and with all your strength and stretch you are reaching to grab their hand and pull them up to safety!
It is so disturbing for to me, to see the progressive fulfillment of Jesus words in Matthew 24:12 in which He states, “because iniquity shall abound”, meaning the multiplying of lawlessness, the love of literally most, will “grow” cold! Would to God, there is global warming i.e. hearts that are increasing in the fire of God’s love! Reality check: that temperature is dropping sharply! As the fire of love in God’s people is diminishing, the world grows darker and colder! What can you and I do to raise the thermostat? Well, Jude speaking of these last days said, “Keep yourselves in the love of God.” Meaning, to dwell constantly on God’s great love for you! By doing this, love’s fire will burn in your heart to the point that you cannot keep it to yourself, you will spread His love to everyone around!

O God of love, make us burn like You, in Jesus name, AMEN!
