THE CHAMBER OF INFLUENCE
“The serene, silent beauty of a holy life is the most powerful influence in the world, next to the might of God.”
Song of Solomon 1:4 (a) Draw me and we will run after You. (B) The king has brought me into his chambers.
This simple plea here is the key to impacting influence! The word “draw” can be translated: “to seize”. So the appeal is,” capture my heart, and others will run with me after You!” Song of Solomon 1:4 goes on to say that the King has brought me into His chambers! This translates to us as the place of spiritual intimacy with God. We will have no impact and produce no fruit, without being spiritually intimate with our Lord.
“A funny thing happens when we don’t pray: NOTHING!”
Everyone of us were born as a result of intimacy between our parents. It’s just a plain fact. Simply, if we will give birth to spiritual children, we must allow the Holy Spirit to seize us and bring us into the King’s Chambers to be transformed by His awesome presence!
Song of Solomon 2:4 He brought me to the banqueting house, And his banner over me [was] love.
The Shulamite goes on to say to the daughters of Jerusalem, that the King brought her to the banqueting house or to the place of intoxication. Here, we are being told that she was inebriated and covered by the King’s love. O how we need to stay in that secret place with our great King until we are overcome and overwhelmed by His love for us. We will reel and stagger from the joy of His presence. We will be under the influence of the King’s great love and have influence with those that do not yet know Him and even those that don’t know Him as much as they need to! Then together, we will run after Him! HALLELUJAH!
Every blessing!
