WHAT ARE YOU MAD ABOUT?
“The world is never moved by the mildly interested. We have only two choices if we wish to change the world, holy or unholy madness.”
Acts 26:24 Now as he thus made his defense, Festus said with a loud voice, "Paul, you are beside yourself! Much learning is driving you mad!"
Would to God, the unknowing of Jesus Christ, would say this about all of us who love and follow the Lord! Fetus saw how radically devoted Apostle Paul was to the Messiah and referred to this as madness, craziness, lunacy, off the deep end! He was wrong about Paul being beside himself. Paul was walking beside Jesus. He had taken the yoke of Christ on and was learning of Him. (Matt. 11:29) Not much learning from scrolls and parchments, it was on account of much learning of Jesus Himself that gave Paul the attributes of a mad man! Paul was madly in love with Jesus, by all his yoke-walking with the Lord!
MatT 11:29 "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 "For My yoke [is] easy and My burden is light."
O, how this world gone mad over the absence of rest and peace, in this most turbulent hour we’re living in, needs to see a people who are mad about Jesus! When you are crazy about Jesus, you can call your trials, light and momentary afflictions, like Paul! (see 2Cor. 4:17) So my strong suggestion for all of us is, start yoking around more and more with Christ and learn of Him, not just about Him!
