THE GREAT OMISSION

THE GREAT OMISSION.png
Missions is not the “ministry of choice” for a few hyperactive Christians in the church. Missions is the purpose of the church.

Mark 16:15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

Jesus spoke this to those following Him. He speaks this to those who follow Him today. For those “believers“ that believe they are called to be spectators with score cards grading the message, the worship team, the service order, the service time length, the special music, the comfortability of the seating, the etc.,etc…. Spectators in the Body of Christ are not in the game. They commit The Great Omission! Somehow they exempt themselves from doing the work of the ministry. (Eph. 4:12)

A congregation that is not deeply and earnestly involved in the worldwide proclamation of the gospel does not understand the nature of salvation.

Eph 4:15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head--Christ-- 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

Fellow follower of Christ, the verses above are clear enough, there are no spectators in the Body of Christ. We must grow up and take on our responsibility and utilize our gifting in the King’s service, with every joint supplying and every part doing our share! O Lord of the Harvest, help us to grow out of our great omissions and grow into Your great commission that we may hasten the day of your return for all the participators who love Your appearing!

Every blessing!
