THE GREAT UNKNOWN

Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step
— Martin Luther King Jr.

Isa 46:4 Even to [your] old age, I [am] He, And [even] to gray hairs I will carry [you]! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver [you].

It is a fact that the visible horizon is about 3.1 miles at sea level. It is at that distance we see where the Earth meets the sky. Beyond that line, is the great unknown. We don’t know what it looks like beyond that point. Sometimes, we imagine that the unknown contains a brighter future. Sometimes, we are paralyzed with fear of what we do not know.

I went on a prayer walk many years ago, up a mountain behind my house. I had never been up that trail before. Every few steps brought sights I had not yet seen. I remember thinking what if I encounter a bear or a mountain lion? I heard the Lord say, ”I make the unknown secure because of my presence. Move ahead.” I learned from that experience, to go as far as I could see and when I got there, I could see further. God holds our future but we must keep walking forward in faith. He is our security. He holds our destiny! He is carrying us, all way through our old age! Our path is getting brighter and brighter until we see Jesus face to face! (Pr. 4:18) O what a day that will be! Beloved, your unknown is secure because He is with you! HALLELUJAH!!

Every blessing!
