KNOWN FROM AFAR
“If you knew who God made you to be, you’d never want to be anyone else.”
Jer 1:5(A) "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you
You and I were known afar off, long before we ever showed up in our mother’s womb. When did you pop into God, your creator’s mind? His thoughts toward us, outnumber the sand… (Psa. 39:17-18) So when are you not on His mind? He created you and I to mold us and make us into the image of His Son. Christ’s image being His very nature and character. You and I were made to be inhabited by the Spirit of Christ. He is the treasure in our earthen vessels. God made us with unfathomable potential! We perhaps, have not discovered who we were made and meant to be, just yet! The greatest of discoveries is the revelation of who Christ is in us! Paul stated, “It is no longer I who lives but Christ who lives in me!” (Gal. 2:20) In other words, Paul had embraced what He was created for; to be a carrier, a vessel of the person of Christ! This was not only Paul’s purpose but also the purpose of everyone of God’s children!
Rom 8:29 For whom foreknew, He also predestined [to be] conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
The foreknowledge of God is not that some are predestined for Heaven while others are predestined for Hell. That’s a ridiculous notion. It is not God’s will for any to perish but that all would come to repentance. (2Pet. 3:9) The Father predestined the ones He knew from a far. He knows each one that will surrender their lives to Jesus Christ. It is those, that He shapes into the image of His Son and He designs their destiny! Jesus said in John 6:37 “All that the Father has given me, will come to me and he that comes to me I will in no wise cast out!” Oh what marvelous promises are ours in Jesus Christ! You ought let out a shout if Christ is in you! HALLELUJAH!!
